Plain and short, because there’s little to tell.
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use it — for example which pages are viewed and when the download button is used — so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data (including a shortened IP address) on our behalf under Google’s privacy policy; we don’t use it for advertising, don’t sell your data, and don’t try to identify you personally. Standard server logs may also be kept by the hosting provider for security and reliability. You can change your cookie choice at any time.
If you message us through the contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are emailed to our support mailbox and used only to read and reply to your enquiry. We don’t add you to any mailing list. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the submission isn’t automated; Cloudflare processes limited technical data for this under its own privacy policy and sets no tracking cookies.
The installer is hosted on GitHub Releases. When you download it, GitHub processes the request under its own privacy policy.
If you contact us — for example through the Make a Wish feedback form in the app — we use your message and any reply address you provide only to respond. We don’t add you to any mailing list.
Donations are handled by Ko-fi. Any payment details are processed by Ko-fi and its payment providers under their own privacy policies — they are never seen or stored by PatchWalker.
PatchWalker runs entirely on your own Controller, on your network. It has no usage telemetry and does not phone home. It communicates only with the machines you enrol and, where you enable it, with Microsoft and Ubuntu update sources. Any data it holds (your inventory, settings and logs) stays on your Controller and under your control.
